About Me

For more than 15 years, I worked as an award-winning journalist and magazine editor. (My writing appeared regularly in The New York Times, along with a host of other publications—New York, Newsweek, Better Homes & Gardens, The Boston Globe, The Village Voice.) Now, I use my crack reporting, writing, and editing skills to help non-profit organizations such as the Natural Resources Defense Council and others communicate with policymakers, members, funders, the media, and the general public.

My areas of expertise include clean energy, environmental issues, and green living; women’s health; medicine, health and the politics of health; HIV/AIDS; Judaism and Jewish life; lesbian and gay/LGBTQ issues.
